So you want to focus on your chest and biceps 💪 and have other muscles you're already happy with? What if you could give these two higher priority? Well, you can!
Inside your Fitness Plan, you can choose to focus on specific muscle groups ✅ and/or exclude ❌ others from your sessions.
Focused Muscles
You can select up to two muscle groups to focus on. 💪🏾
Gravl will prioritize these muscles by placing their exercises at the beginning of your workouts. This ensures you train them while you're fresh and energized. ⚡
Focus does not mean higher frequency. Putting focus on certain muscles won't affect your overall split nor give you additional sessions. For example, in a Push-Pull-Legs (PPL) split, selecting "chest" as a focus won't cause chest exercises to appear on your pull or leg days.
Whether you get more exercises for the focused muscles depends on your workout length and total number of exercises. Keep in mind: more is not always better. It’s completely normal to receive the same number of exercises as usual, but with the focused muscles appearing at the beginning of the workout.
If you focus on two muscles trained in the same session, the larger muscle group will be prioritized.
If you focus on two large or two small muscle groups that are trained in the same workout, the app will alternate their order - one will come first in one session, and the other will come first the next time. 🔁
Excluded Muscles
Whether you do this because of an injury or other reasons, you can select up to 4 muscle groups that will be completely excluded from your workouts. 🚫
